Rekall Two
Rekall Two is the sequel to Rekall One, a bold display family that challenges decipherability. Originally designed as a logotype and typeface for a high-fashion streetwear brand, Rekall references retro-futurism and brutalist architecture. Its stencil elements with sharp features form the core logic of the design, deviating from the usual practice of crafting letterforms first and then “cutting” into them.
While Rekall One drew heavy inspiration from big-budget Hollywood sci-fi action films of the 1980s, a more exaggerated sequel was a natural progression. Rekall Two builds on the bold weight of the original, with each style referencing a different film or concept. Developed using custom Python plug-ins by Frederik Berlaen, the resulting family is vibrant, unconventional, and a challenging tool for creative use.
