Oli Grotesk
Oli Grotesk is an affable, high-performance typeface family inspired by the industrial aesthetics of mechanical writing tools. While the neo-grotesk genre tends toward cold, neutral typefaces, Oli’s charming details shine with personality at both large and small sizes, injecting a strong visual character into the text. Oli also incorporates design elements from typewriter typefaces (such as the top slabs in i, l, and the characterful g) and is named after the iconic Italian manufacturer of typewriters (and other things).
Oli was initially conceived as a large multiscript superfamily covering Indic and other world scripts. Cyrillic, Greek, and Armenian are currently in development and will be published soon.
